Haven't been able to talk about Saturday too much until now.
I've learnt a lesson in humility this weekend. The man that was Alan Ball was given one of the greatest send-off's witnessed at Goodison Park. I used to stand on The Old Park End with my Dad and watch the guy play. I don't remember it much if I'm being honest, but my Dad, when he was alive, never let me forget that I watched The 'Holy Trinity'. And it's something I should be proud of. Ta Dad...I am.
Grown men my age and older with lumps in their throats and tears in their eyes, remembering him and all he done for our club.
Young kids who didn't even know the man, giving him the greatest send-off you could imagine. That tells me even more about how the great man was thought of and that of his legacy, passed own generation to generation.
What an icon Alan Ball was. And a Hero.
I know we say it all the time, but it really made me proud to be Everton. There's not many clubs, if any, that look after their own like we do.
What a huge compliment it was that his family chose Everton, above Portsmouth, City and Southampton, to pay their footballing respects to him...And they weren't let down. I've said it before, but The St. End get a lot of

from some quarters. On Saturday they were absolutely

magnificent and an absolute credit to us all. Bally's kids faces were both a mix of pride and utter, utter awe. Their parents would have been proud of them too. His Son saying that his Dad always said that "Standing in front of The Gwladys Street, after Everton won the league, was one of the greatest moments of my life." Then his lad adding that he now knew what he meant, all these years later.
It's a legacy. We all leave one. It's something we never think about. Alan Ball's legacy was there for all to see on Saturday.
Can anyone think what our 'Wazzas' legacy will be like?
Will he have grown men and women in tears at a football game in his name?
Will he have children, two generation's away from seeing him play for us, waving flags and singing, all in his name?
Will he have minutes applauses up and down the country, with people he had no link to clapping and cheering his name?
Will his kids have the chance to lay a wreath at the home end of his beloved club, and well with tears of pride at the way the people of a city feel about him?
Will he have the respect of even most of his nearest rivals?
Will he

!
Once he finishes with Utd, he'll just go back to being what we all are to them all...A Scouse, Bindipping, Smackhead, Scally

who got lucky and lives in Cheshire.
Sadly, I'm double his age nearly, so barring an accident on his behalf I can't see the day he passes away. I'll be intrigued you see, that's all. I wouldn't wish death on anyone, but each to their own. Sky will have wall to wall coverage, but that'll be about it. No Goodison, or wherever we are, chanting your name. No Utd chanting your name, nothing. It's ok though Wayne, your family will all have their Aston Martins and Lego houses in Cheshire to drive around in with their deflated tits like Spaniels Ears hanging out, so all's well there. Perhaps they could get a few Million £££'s from HELLO or OK magazine to cover the funeral so that should be fine too.
In short, you're a vulgar, snidey

Wayne. One who couldn't even keep the Narcissus side of your character to yourself for one

day to let a TRUE legend have his day.
You're not a Son of our City, you're an outcast.
Then I turn around and think of what we'd, normal people like me and other folk on here, give to play on the turf of Goodison Park. Someday leading out our boyhood Club as Captain. To see a team built around my talent. I still think like that now and I'm in my 40's with an

like a Hippo and the turning circle of The Ark Royal for

sakes.
I love my Blue family. Each and every one of you was a

credit to Everton Football Club there on Saturday.
Never before has 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' meant so much to me.
I'm going The Offy to get some more Ale and raise a glass to Alan Ball.
"I don't know when it'll be, but I'll see you when I get there Bally, and I'll buy you a pint."
