I have been trying to get a copy for a while now with no success

Sounds a great film though (I always liked Greek war films when I was young.

I actually counted.

About three people get their heads chopped off.

There's about three scenes where you can see boobs.

And there's about a 3 thousand people ( and a wolf. ) who die getting stabbed by spears.

Based on the Frank Miller graphic novel (same guy who did Sin City). Has a very comic book feel. Tells the story of the Battle of Thermopylae in Greece (480 BC), when 300 Spartan warriors led a rag-tag band of Greeks against a many thousands strong Persian army (led by Xerxes). The movie's got a great aesthetic and the battle scenes are phenomenal. Two hours of blood, gore, tough talk (Leonidas, the Spartan king, is played by Gerrard Butler and has a fantastic Scottish burr) and T&A. There's not wrong with that!

Loved Sin City. I'll try and catch this 300 film on Friday. Booked me a few days off work this week so I have. Nice long weekend and that.

Been waiting for this film for ages, and I have fought the temptation to download all the torrents that have popped up for it.

Finally managed to book tickets to see it at the Imax in london the day before its on general release.

I went to Themopylae (not just the one near Bidston hill but the real one in Greece ) .It's right next to the sea , never understood why those Persians didn't just take the ferry around the Spartans .
