You should have just grovelled pathetically and he may have let you off with a warning. Calling him a pointy headed tw@t just makes them worse :D

Good and bad in every job I guess . Once got pulled over and breathalysed for what the cop described as erratic driving . All I'd done was make a couple of left and right turns into a few side streets looking for a parking space !

best bet is to give it all the "yes sir, no sir" so he lets you off, but make sure you get his number on the sly and report the c*nt for harrassment the next day. nothing will come of it but it'll cause him a sh*tload of aggro from his sarge :D

Trying to park your car in Buckingham Palace may have given them a clue Woof , especially after asking them to tell that posh tart to move her f'king Rolls.  :D

Never ever drive without your seatbelt on . I used to have a pretty casual approach to it until one day I was stopped at a red light and a big Fed Ex van came hairing round a corner and smashed right into the back of me . Fortunately I had that day fastened my seat belt otherwise my head would have gone through the windscreen, the car was a complete write off (the boot was where the back seats used to be   :D )

Wear yer seat belts lads , never know when some dumb fu'ck is gonna hit yer .

Wooly - ahh the voice of reason!

TBH Wooly, I was about 50 yards from my house and he knew this when he took all my details but give me the spiel about Merseyside Police operate a "zero tolerance" policy. I remarked it would be different if I was a bird, and it would. He then got me to sit in the back of his car while they did all the checks on my car.

When he said he was going to search me I was made up, I asked all the right questions and it wound him up.

"Do you have reasonable supspicion to search me?"

"Can I have a copy of your Stop and Search documentation?"

All the right stuff.

I have mates who are coppers, one good mate in particular, but I wasn't going to name drop. I know what a hard job they do, and what they have to put up with but I was 50 yards away from my house, he was being a bell and he knew it.

I have enormous respect for coppers who do there job properly. I couldn't do it.

As he'd obviously been following me ,with all the random turns I'd been making he probably thought I was trying to lose him(even though I was only doin' about 15mph . I'd actually found a space and parked up when he pulled alongside and gave me the grief.

The other surprising thing was he wasn't a traffic cop ! surprising because in London yer normal copper usually can't be a'rsed to get involved in petty traffic incidents.

He was probably a Newbie .
