i am back, thanks for the nice comments, i have been to koh mak, a great little island and stayed in a beach hut, i was able to hunt down a tv so i saw the games.

the bombs were a bit of a shock in bangkok, i think more are expected so i have to be careful

Do they know who's responsible for all the bombs yet peewee?

not yet mate, but they suspect oponents of the military coup, i thought it was too easy and now i know why, the oponents have been waiting for it all to die down a bit.

the bombs were not aimed at tourist areas and were not too big, i think they were to make a statment rather than to kill lots of people, although a few have died sadly. they could have done much more damage at the new year countdown.

a few names have been mentioned (prominet businessmen) suspected of funding the bombings, i believe someone warned about the bombs before and their locations, and they have also warned of future bombs and where they will be planted.

thanks red, i had a great time on a little island snorkeling in crystal clear waters. 5 hour drive and one hour boat to get there but its worth it

I put on 2 coats and tried to use an umbrella to walk to the corner shop for some cigs, in the gale force winds and hail stones and got soaked to the skin. But it was worth it :sniffle
