(Actually my Mum spent a few years in Winnepeg before returning to England when WW2 kicked off . Used to tell us stories of how they had to dig their way out of the house in the winter months :wwww

Winnipeg gets it so much worse than we do in Ontario, Woof. Those Arctic winds blanket the Prairies all winter...that's 4 months wearing thermals and 4 jumpers to keep warm. Then come June, the snow melts, the rivers swell and the whole city faces the threat of flood. Plus, "the Peg's" the armpit of Canada, by all accounts (never had the pleasure). Your Mum was wise to get out while she could. (They did provide us with the Guess Who, though, so that's something)!

and i thought i was bored!!!

off to cheltenham tomorrow tho, should be a good days racing... now tonight for dinner do i get:

a: fish and chips
b: kebab
c: subway
d: dirty chicken form the pigeon chalet

I would get fish and chips (I have never had a kebab :blush:

) its too cold for a subway.

I have never been to any of the posh racecourses. I have been to Cartmel and Haydock Park loads of times and York once or twice.

Once at Haydock just before the off,I saw a man running from bookie to bookie betting £500 pounds on Captains Wings at each bookie. I put £1 on it and it won at 10-1. (A FKN £1!!! :angry:

) I still can't believe what I did. 25 years ago and I still cant forgive myself. :down:
