it's all relative woofster, the middle east is always the middle east cos it's in the middle but the far east depends on how far you are from it (either eastward or westward), if you're close to it then should it therefore be called the near east and what we know as the far east should become the near east? maybe if you're a little bit away but not a massive way away then the far east should become the middle east, the middle east becomes the near east and the other far east becomes another middle east, depending on how far east you are?

but i am not in the far east, i am in south east asia which is in the northern hemisphere although part is in the southern hemisphere

yes mate i am in bangkok which is the northern hemisphere, although the region is classed as south east asia and not the far east as some people mistake. there are parts of south east asia in the southern hemisphere such as parts of indonesia.

singapore (which although an island very close to malaysia), is the southernmost tip of mainland south east asia, this is just above the equator
