DCFC wrote:I think we lack in quality English players. Truthfully, Gerrard, Carra and Crouch are the only quality english players we have. Pennant, Bellamy, Finnan and Fowler are all British and Irish but are either past it or not good enough. When we had Owen, at least the spine of our team was English, they knew wot the Premiership is all about. All foreigners in are squad dont realise as much as the three english players named above how physical the prem is. Bar Sissoko, Alonso, Kuyt and Riise, i dont think any other player should really be playing for the club. Thats just my honest opinion. For me most of the spaniards arnt up to it!! Simple as!! I really think Rafa needs to look at more quality British players and splash out on them rather than splash out on foreigners
are you on about? What does a player’s nationality have to do with anything; surely it’s what they do on the pitch that matters? Firstly Finnan is Irish, therefore he is not British and he’s not English. He is also along with Neville one of the best right backs in the league. Bellamy is Welsh, not English, he is new, suffering a lack of confidence, he needs more time, same with Pennant. How can you say Fowler isn’t good enough, he hasn’t put a foot wrong since he came back earlier this year. He hardly ever plays and if you watched the Man City match you’ll realise what he brings to the team. Are you some sort of fascist? I suggest you look at our history because most of our great teams were made up of Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English player and are you seriously telling me players like John Barnes didn’t know what playing for Liverpool was about? You’re talking absolute nonsense.
like this is not, I usually accept a difference of opinion, but not when they are complete
like this, and do you even believe what you’re typing?

Our support is starting to become a joke, best fans in the world we most certainly aren't.

CM Ive got to agree with the above Pennant was f.ucking sh.ite, we can support players but when they havent done anything since arriving then its time we stopped defending them, he was woeful so was Garcia.
But we know what Garcia is capable of but up till now Pennants done nothing.
Rafa was feckin fuming at him when he brought him off before he nearly got sent off 3 times.
we were tonight. Got back from the match about 1/2 an hour ago. It sead it al when the bloke who sits next to me leaves with 10 minutes left, it was that poor. For those who didn't watch the game, you don't have a
clue how badly we actually played. It was actually the worst perofrmance I've seen at anfield in a long time.
, I have been one of those who has said give him time etc but tonight just took the
biscuit. He beat a man, had an opportunity to get a cross in, but decided to try and beat the man again! He gave the ball away far too much. His frustration got the better of him and it was lucky Rafa subbed him because otherwise I think we'd of found ourselves down to 10. Luis Garcia was
, gave the ball away and the usual malarky that goes with it. We need to teach our wingers how to cross aswell FFS.
me off big time. Sammi and Agger run 70 odd yards up the pitch for
all. Too many times did I see short corners and then the ball being given away and the chance wasted which means that Sammi and Agger have to sprint back again. It causes unnecessary pressure on us.
