Sorry guys I cant do the linky thingys, but on tele over here Bin Laden is supposedly dead. Apparently his bodies been found and he died of Typhoid (sp).

Sorry I cant add much more, only to say if it is Typhoid I think thats the work of God, not wanting the evil fanatic on his earth anymore, good job ! :nod

yeah it was all over the french media yesterday

bbc says this morning that the authorities say there's no proof though so they are sceptical

he didn't die of typhoid though - he tripped over his beard and drowned face-first in a bucket of sh*te

'No evidence' of Bin Laden death

Bin Laden is blamed for attacks across the world
The Saudi government has denied a French newspaper report saying France's secret services believe Osama Bin Laden is dead.
The newspaper quoted the Saudi secret services as saying the al-Qaeda leader had died of typhoid in Pakistan.

But, in a statement, the Saudi government said it had "no evidence" that Bin Laden was dead.

The French president has ordered an inquiry into the leaked French secret service memo containing the claim.

'Speculation'

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has no evidence to support recent media reports that Osama Bin Laden is dead," the Saudi government said.

Unfortunately it won't make any difference to al qaeda and worldwide terrorism. If anything it will make them want to do something 'in his honour' so to speak.

First of all I am a Muslim. I hate al-quaide and bin-laden and all suicide bombers, as majority of Muslims hate them.
Because al-quaide and Bin-laden are killing innocent people.
But Islam doesn't order these actions. Those people are just using the religious belief of guileless muslims.
As opposed to these, USA is using the religious belief of guileless christians like you and killing inocent people in Iraq, Afghanistan and now in Lebanon.
Be sure this that majority of Muslims dont care the Al-Quaide's Jihad declaration or Bin-laden's death.

And the other part of your writing. Cartoons...
Drawing Mohammad's pictures is forbidden by our Religion to Muslims.This means a Muslim cant draw Mohammed's picture. Also a Christian,a Budhist or a Jewish can draw if he wants. But he can't affront with those drawings or he shouldn't affront. And any of the Muslims want to Mohammad being affronted by cartoons or anything else... Because this is our "HOLY WORTH".
Likewise, you Christians dont want your "Holy worths" being affronted.
Please dont be prejudiced about events.

Bin Laden doesnt represent Muslims, and also Al-quaide doesnt represent Islam.

oh are we just supposed to respect your religion when your religion is happy to call us infidels and claim we are filthy (of course i am not talking about all muslims here, having lived in a muslim country for 3 years and i am friendly with many muslims).

it goes both ways my friend and if you are happy to justikfy burning down a building or beheading someone over a cartoon then i am afraid you are exttremist and i will not take you seriously.

let me tell you I for one am sick and tired of turning the news on to see once again muslims offended and screaming in the streets because someone made a small comment, get over yourselves ffs.

this si not what islam is about, the muslims i am friendly with are fantastic people with a sense of humour and they are embarrassd what people do in the name of their religion.

Good post Peewee I agree with that, especially seeing only recently how certain members of the Muslim religons all over the world, burn church's and effegees and kill a nun over some remark made by the pope.

Could you imagine if that was reversed and the other way round, there would be absoulute pandamoniam and certain war if the christians or catholics responded like the Muslims have.

If you write a lot of s.hits and having this "demagogue" attitude and if you find yourself the right of criticizing the burning buildings, first of all you must learn to RESPECT people's holy worths.

And if dont respect the people's holy worth's, i am afraid you are a beheaving like a racist person and i dont take you seriously anymore.

Also i dont approve those burning embasies. But i dont approve that cartoons too. Maybe you dont care swearings to your Holys but u cant deny the fact that every culture in the world is different .

surely islam is a religion open to any race, i have english friends who have married muslim women in malaysia and had to convert to islam in order to do so, did they change race when they converted?

I said "Holy Worths" I didnt say "religious worths"
For ex. Flag of Turkiye is my "Holy Worth" , Turks' mothers are their "Holy worth", ....etc.
And if someone dont care these "Holys", he would begin to behave like a racist person.

Therefore you have no right to critize people to burn buildings or beheaviors like this...Because those people are under no obligation to respect anyones religion,race,embassy,....,too.

Bin Laden doesnt represent Muslims, and also Al-quaide doesnt represent Islam.

As mentioned in a previous topic, try not to take things too seriously mate.

But in passing I would say that to kill, threaten to kill and bring fear and panic into people for a "cartoon" is, in my opinion, ridiculous. If you don't know what Mohammed looks like how can you possibly criticize a person for drawing a "cartoon" of Him... it doesn't make sense to me. I mean it could have been a "cartoon" likeness of one of my neighbours who is an elderley Islamic gentleman.

I'm not a Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim or believer of any religion... but we've all got to learn to live together AND learn to laugh at ourselves.
