I read three quarters of it in about two hours two nights ago.  I'll finish it tonight hopefully.

Big type font so you'll finish it quickly.  It's enlightening I suppose, I'm really interested in anything to do with LFC so I'll read any s*i*e but it's the Chelsea busiess I want to read about and what kind of state his head was in.

Worth a read like even if he is only halfway through his career.  Carragher has promised to bring his out with warts and all stories only after his playing career is finished.  That will be a book which will make your mouth water with anticipation when the time comes.

It's yet another prime example of why these books should not be written until the end of a player's career.

He has a right go at one of our current players (who shall remain nameless). I don't see how criticising one of your current team-mates, however justifiably, is the proper way for a Liverpool captain to behave.

He calls Igor Biscan "a tit" as well for that mistake against Marseille a year or three back.

St Mick, I can't remember who the player was or I'm not up to that bit yet who he has a right go at.  PM me with it.

He's the club captain but sadly this book just proves that Gerrard isn't overly blessed in the intelligence stakes. He's just another Hello celeb hoping to turn a quick buck - and probably open a few doors for his vacuous missus. Hopefully none of this will cause ill-feeling or suspicion within the team towards the ego but I'd be surprised if Rafa took anything but a dim view of it.

I'd blame the agent personally. IMO Stevie doesn't seem too interested in anything else other than playing football. I think the agent's getting him onto another money spinner to line his own pockets.

Haven't read the book by the way, buying it next week.

Nice to hear that about Carragher, he is a legend that lad and will go down as one of Liverpool's greats. Brilliant but Modest, reverred but humble, in the mould of Shankly IMO.

I won't be buying the Gerrard book, simply as I think its a pathetic thing to do when your career has yet to peak, never mind finish.

I think LFC shouldn't allow players do books while at the club. can cause trouble.

Couldnt agree more, its a joke that he has brought out a book that could harm relations with other team mates and show current staff or players in a bad way.

How many times can we blame Steven's agent ?

The lad is a grown man, who makes his own decisions, admittedly agents are a bad influence and are there to just line there own pockets, but Gerrard makes the final decision on things, especially things like the NOTW article.

I guess no-one wants to answer this question then??!!

That aside- what's the book like- is it worth buying? I bought the Fowler one as i was interested i reading his version of the Houllier/Thompson problems but am wondering whether Gerrards has come abit early to have much of significant interest.
