alright there our s@int, im nearly at my 10k sabbatical, reckon it'll last longer than a week? i'll take bets

evens - 7 days or less
3/1 a month
50/1 - over a month
500/1 never back

Why leave just when you are getting used to the place? The Real World needs you Dawson. Just look what a mess it gets in when you leave it unattended for just one night. You should make a speach "this is not the end but only a new begining etc etc".

After experiencing the Tangent Universe and seeing the paths that his loved ones follow, Donnie sacrifices himself so that Gretchen, his mother, his sister and Frank may live. A simple explanation of the movie is that Donnie had to make sure with rabbit Frank's guidance that the chain of events causing the engine to go through the portal do occur. If he had failed, the portal would have caused the end of the world (as Frank said it would).

but...
In the film's opening, while Donnie rides his bicycle home, he passes a red Pontiac Firebird. That car is the same car that Frank drives when he runs over Gretchen. and the teacher played by noah wyle is actually killed by the car, but this is never said in the film.

spooky: When Donnie’s mother calls to say she’s catching the red-eye flight back, the airport announcement in the background says “Flight 2806 is boarding at gate 42 and leaving at 12 am.” This is a reference to the countdown, 28:06:42:12, Frank reveals.

What do i think it means? Donnie Darko has to do stuff a certain way and sacrifice himself. the fact that when he dies his arms are spread has no meaning in religious terms as some people say, but it is a more spiritual film.
