Microsoft has scored another major coup in the next-gen battle, revealing today that both Pro Evolution 6 and FIFA 2007 will be available on only one next-gen format – Xbox 360.
The two eagerly anticipated titles will be released on current generation platforms, but Microsoft has secured a 12-month lock-out on the soccer games for next-gen formats. This will mean that neither Pro Evolution 6 nor FIFA will be available for PS3 or Wii.

FIFA 2007 is due for release on September 29th, with Pro Evolution Soccer 6 set to follow in October.

I think it means you can buy a PS2 version of Pro Evo 6 which you can play on either the PS2 or the PS3, but there will be PS3 version available for 12 months, which means it will be inferior in terms of graphics and speed.

What I tend to do is when a new console comes out is I go to GAME and you can trade in your current console and get money off the new one. So I might do that if they do it for the PS3

Microsoft and Konami aint seein eye to eye over this...... seems like MS were tellin porkies!?

However, shortly after the press conference, Konami denied that there was a 12-month exclusivity deal in place for the Pro Evolution series.

Me thinks i'll wait for the next iteration of pro evo on PS3 then.....
