If I was starting to get quite thin up top or with a receding hairline, i'd shave it off.

I've already decided not too as i stated in my original post,i was just wondering how many out there would if they were very realistic and noone could tell.I agree with the comment it would be like wearing a hat all the time and sweating like a bástard all the time dosnt appeal......

Phil...having worked in the health industry for many years (including oncology), I have rarely seen a 'good' looking wig. Most look like they are wearing a rug and this attracts more stares than the chrome dome look...even on the women.

i think the all over wigs can be quite obvious phil, especially when it lifts at the edges, but the toupee that covers a small part can be blended in quite well. but i would be scared of it coming off as well

I wore a wig once but everyone could spot it, must have been the elastic band under my chin that gave it away

big isnt the word.The NHS and Social services both have a 18 month waiting list on a stair lift.Which is no good to me officially as i have only been given 6--12 months to live.Infact if i go by that i have 9 months to live now.I'm stuck in my bed and cant walk.Anyway next wednesday we are having one put in but we have to pay £56 a month to rent it....

great i here you say that means you can get down stairs,then in a wheel chair after and go out side,problem is because of all these steroids i,m on its going to cost £2000 to widen all the doors to get my face out........

Im 22 and im not receeding or that, Ive got quite a lot of hair, but recently Ive started going for the skinhead, girls love it, everyone says it looks a lot better as it shows off my facial features a lot more and It saves me 20 minutes a day sorting it out in the morning

A lot more stylish

My hair is quite long mate, although I've had it longer than what it is at the moment.

And no signs of baldness yet. My old man still has his barnet and he's in his fifties so I might be okay for the time being.

But if I'm being honest, stay away from wigs Phil. Embrace the baldness. It wouldn't bother me if I started to lose my hair, I'd do what everyone else does and shave it with a number 2 or 3 grade.
