Surely the nation as a whole now knows that lampard is only considered as a decent player because he lives by the ability of others. He must be dropped and more incentive played on gerrard to play in his position. Lampard is utter :censored:

and we must realise, AS A NATION, gerrard must play this role !

My apologies i thought Gerrard was an english player playing for England and Liverpool? we all make mistakes i guess.

how come kharhaz is able to start a thread when he has only made 3 posts

and kharhaz the thread is aimed at an england situation rather than a liverpool one and thats why it should not be in the liverpool discussion

Lampard is a good player but Stevie is better

Lampard looked really poor, when he was forwardhe sat in the box (bringing an extra defender in) and left no space for anything positive to happen. When he was defensive all of his passes went backwards (the same that he does at Chelsea). He didnt even turn and have a look, half of the time he had space and he should have turned with it and had a look but when ever he got it it went back to the CBs. England kicked it around the back four for half the game.

Just hopeless, I would love to see England play a 3-5-2.

Crouch Owen/Rooney

I think that this formation would solve a few problem , probably create a few more as well. Sven would probably not risk it at this stage though. And his lack of imagination is what is going to cause England to underachieve again.

(thats right, Crouch starts with Owen and Rooney fighting for the other spot. Owen was really poor against T+T, Crouch missed some opportunities but at least he wasnt a ghoast for the whole game.)
