Jan kromkamp - Van b*stard

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Is it just me, or could anyone else believe the utter sh*te Van B*stard picked for the RB slot ahead of Jan Kromkamp?

Andre Ooijer. He was f*cking AWFUL! Surely even old Marco realises that Jan is 10 times the player?

It seems to me that Vanny-boy is sticking to his guns of not picking players who haven't featured regularly for their club sides. Does he not realise that this only works if the replacement is worth more than a crock of sh*t? Ooijer is 31 and has won 18 caps. This tells you he's sh*te, or has been injured a lot. Either way, he shouldn't be in the team above Jan.

Sort yourself out, Baston, you f*cking gimp.  :no

I thought Ooijer did ok, Lando.. Didn't light up the stadium but not too bad.

Van Basten is the 1st Dutch manager in a long time to have been brave enuff to leave out the established big names.
And it's proven to be pretty beneficial IMO.

Guess he's just sticking to his policy of playing the players who have earned it. TBH, Kromkamp hasn't earned it as he's not been a regular for us.
Probably, he thinks it's better for squad morale if practices what he preaches. His players would trust him more if he shows no perceived favouritism.

Kromkamp was awful against Australia in or final warm up match. In fact he was so bad he was dragged before half time. On that showing I was not surprised to see Ooijer pick over Kromkamp.

That's it then!

I just think he's being a complete :censored: not playing the obviously better player.

That's the point Lando...Kromkamp isn't obviously the better player. Granted he's potentially the better player but hasn't shown it.

Could this be a little bit of bitterness after Van Basten claimed that Kromkamp has made a mistake joining Liverpool and that it would hurt his chances at World Cup level.   ???   Perhaps understandable.  :)

Their are still problems, for example Van Persie publicly slating Robben for not being a team player.  :;):

I like Holland, hope they do well.

Well he's spot on, Robben wants to shine on the big stage, which is understandable but if he wants to go far in this tournement then he needs to play as a team player and not an individual. Altho Van Persie shudn't of slammed him in the press like that, it will no doubt cause problems.
