I've seen it and I'm really looking forward to the two hour finale next week.  The tension mounts more and more each week.  The trailer for next weeks episode looks great even!!!!

Then no more Lost until October. :(

Thank God for the World Cup. :D

All's I know is that they are doing a Series 3 and they have fleshed out the ideas for it.  There will be another 23 episodes (or whatever it is).  There are going to be a couple of surprises regarding series regulars next year.

Beyond that I couldn't tell you but I estimate there could well be a fourth and fifth series.  Depends how deep they want to go.  You see the thing with his series is they have managed to stretch about ten episodes over the space of a fortnight in the Lost world.  Even though it seems ages that Mister Eko, Ana Lucia and Libby were introduced, that length of time on the island was about three or four weeks I think.

If they're going to be stuck on this island for a great length of time, this could run for years.

As much as I love it I hope it doesnt run for years, lots of programmes seem to fizzle out, the shark jumping moment as they say.

By the way nobody seems to pick up on the fact that they were all in Australia, and only one Aussie in the cast.  What about Locke and his destiny to go on a field trip in the outback, well he's having his dream come true now.  A lot of dreams, issues are being resolved.  Aboriginal dream time maybe

VERY IMPORTANT POST REGARDING THIS THREAD

I've just found out something brilliant you can do with this message board.

What if I was to show you this below?

Spoiler (HIGHLIGHT HERE): This thread is about the TV Show Lost

You can't see what I have typed because I have given the font colour the same ID as the forum background which is E9E9E9 in the colour palette.

Now it is possible to give spoilers in this thread but you must do it like this below in the code box.  If you need any help with this you can PM me for more advice.

Code: Select all
SPOILER: This is my spoiler

Up to you if you want to take advantage of this but if you haven't got the willpower not to look at spoilers you should stay away.  Let me know what you think about this idea.  Like I say, you don't have to use it but the facility is there.  It saves me having to worry about editing posts as well when people give out spoilers without them realising it.

It's like I've opened up Pandoras Box now though isn't it?  But if you give a spoiler out ther is no excuse for not using this feature.

That's cool stuff Jonny...very Da Vinci Code!  Beyond spoilers we could use it to take the p!ss out of people without them knowing!  :D

I'm not much into reading spoilers meself but I think this system has value if people get the hang of using it...

Definitely agree with that mate, although American networks seem to like extensive runs for successful shows like this.  As long as the producers and stars are getting paid for it, I expect it will go a minimum of 5 years.

Next season's the crucial one for me.  Shows like this are usually awesome for the first 2 seasons and then 'jump the shark' in the third.  Add to this the JJ Abrams factor--"Alias" jumped the whole aquarium in Season 3 as far as I was concerned and is now limping to a lame conclusion in Season 5.  I hope the whole story arc is still fresh come next season and I really hope that don't find dubious ways of continually adding new characters!

You must have all remembered who the girl's Dad was as soon as he stepped out onto the patio from an earlier episode?

This show gets more intruiging by the episode.  Mad the way everybody is inter-linked.

Also, the way half the actors are all in 24, Lost, The Sopranos, Murder She Wrote etc.... they crop up all over the place.

I saw Presisent Logan from 24 on the Elvis Presley episode of Quantum Leap a couple of nights back.  Still a shit actor.

I also saw Evangeline Lily in an episode of Smallville last week as the girlfriend (without a speaking part, she mustn't have been famous enough at the time....) of some thug who injects himself with kryptonite to make him able to penetrate solid walls of concrete and steel to rob banks etc...  Anyone remember that episode?

Anyway, back to the episode. :D

:oh: Jon -I think I know what episode you mean in smallville, I thought i was seeing things - does she just kind of walk by and kiss this guy then quickly disappear again?

The one were i think they were trying to get lanas boy on kryptonite

I've heard Boone Carlyle is about to show up in series 3 of Smallville.  I'm not up to it yet but I hear he's in a few episodes as Lana's love interest.

:D yes he was in series 3 ,I remember him well. I wont spoil it but this guy always seems to get a raw deal....

Is Lana annoying ya yet jmac? :no tut!

Ive just watched the season 5 finale of Smallville-ahhhh it was simply  :bowdown
but ..to leave it the way they did....arghh painful
I thought season 4 was great , but season 5 has been absolutely brilliant , the way theve twisted it all around , the special effects
Lets hear it
