Whats firefox? a virus scanner? if so turn it off whilst you download Java.

No firefox is a browser like Internet Explorer.

Cheers guys , checking under the bonnet I discover my pc already has Java . I'm still thinking if I log out and log back into the forum (bit like a reboot) I might resolve the problem ,but I can't log out without knowing the password to allow me back in , SS is sorting it with admin for me . In the meantime I'll just have to make do with a forum stripped of all banners etc
