Well not really... I don't know if you've lot noticed but on the big banners at Cardiff put on the pitch with the club's badges, our badge had 5 stars underneath it.

The first time I saw that was on BBC during FA Cup Final highlights, they flashed our badge with the 5 stars underneath.

Which means that we will probably have them on our new shirts. Oh how the bitters,chavs and mancs will love this :laugh:

Well, they should have let us wear the 5 Euro Cups badge.

yes i see this as well, they also used it on the pitch fx with the team names, LOOKS GREAT !!!!!

We won those stars, and I think it's only right that we display our greatest (arguably) triumph with pride. Great idea iyam.

Why shouldn't we display the stars on our shirt badge? I think that the only reason we've not had 'em on upto now is because they'd have been pilloried(sp) for changing the home shirt only a year before it was due to change anyway.
Nobody can have a go at us for doing it as we've earned those stars by winning the hardest club competition in the world FIVE times. They have some REAL meaning behind them as well; what have Man city got the stars over their badge for?

staying in the same division for three years running

? Teams are placing stars over their badges for any minor achievement these days so we should put them on for a REAL achievement.

I think in fact there are plans to go back to a liverbird only and not a huge crest, so I dont think that will be the new badge, but I might be wrong.

that, to me would be a great decision as long as the flame is kept... the old badge looked far more 'aggressive' in a sense.

Personally, I've always felt that just the liverbird was more than sufficient..... Sure we earned the 5 stars but somtimes subtlety is way cooler..... LIVERPOOL.... winner of 43 titles among which are 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups, 3 UEFA cups, 3 European Super cups and EIGHTEEN times League Champions...... Sh!t..... we'd have trouble trying to fit all those stars on our kit..... we'd have stars on the seat of the shorts!....

The world knows who we are boys...... no need to rub it in their faces.... One look at the liverbird and most everyone'll know the weight of history in the red jersey behind it....

Subtlety..... Leave the rest their small indications of success on their strips..... No one comes close to Liverpool and they KNOW it...

And to make it worse...... they know we are on the way back....... So give the rest their little stars and cups insignia....

My 2p worth at any rate.... :blues:

The torch w/ the flames on both sides of the badge are of course there to remember H96, which is why we may not go back to just the Livebird as the crest.
