As for the stupid :@#$@ who called me a fool i have this reply...
When did he ever see milan pass a through ball to owen like the one emile passed vs birmingham!
This season your czech mate scored a massive two goals.....okay he only played about ten games but whenever he came on he was only interested in running all the way to the touchline.
Good luck emile!

Macca... anyone with an ounce of sense can see Emile has more ability than Baros, but the fact is, Baros uses his.

Heskey often goes missing and when he doesn he doesn't do anything at all. At least in games were Baros can't beat defenders he tries his ****** off and looks like theres a chance he'll score.

With Emile, theres no in between. He's either brilliant, or awful.

my thoughts exactly. hard to believe this is the same player who banged in 25 goals during his first full season at the club. if only the guy realised how good he could be if he put his mind to it. considering his strength and size nobody should be able to get near him. :(

Heskey going missing in some games....granted.
But i think its there for all to see that owen/baros tandem does not work.
Hopefully with owen staying and cisse signing we will have a good strikeforce.
Its all a matter of opinion but i think 40 england caps, including half of them during sven`s reign justify my opinion as well.

the baros/owen partnership has never been given a run of games to develop properly. with cisse's arrival i see milan as being an understudy for michael next season, especially as you can guarantee that he'll get crocked at some stage.

Macca it justifies nothing mate. 5 goals show a lack of consistency aswell. Gerrards on 3 from 22.

I'm a Heskey fan but the fact is he's not done it.

In the treble season he was brilliant, against Birmingham a few games ago he shown what he could do and Chelsea away again this season. If we'd seen that more often than not then we wouldn't have a problem, the fact is we haven't. More often than not he limps around looking for sympathy and goes missing in games.

The fact is he's done nothing in most of the other games.

As for this myth about Owen and Baros not working. If they had more than 5 mins here or there it would be enough. Besides its not always about partnerships.

Also look at the 6-0 against west brom a few seasons ago.

If you're a good player u can play with anyone. :)

Phil Neville and Nicky Butt have just been named in Svens Euro Championship squad, so that hardly qualifies your point.

Emile`s major ability is in holding the ball up while midfield players join play....Its true his goalscoring record isn`t as good as it should be but no-one should undermine his commitment to the team during his stay....

i`m no united fan but is there a better english born player than butt re: holding midfield position?
the only other option might be scott parker but he is too inexperienced

No one has ever questioned the teamwork side of Emiles game, he is great and clearly Michael loves the support he gives him up front. The problem is its not about who helps each other out the most.

A striker/forward/attacker/centre forward or whatever guise they are in is ALL ABOUT SCORING GOALS.

Emile was simply not good enough in this department. END OF.

gerrard is better than butt in that position even though that is not gerrard's best position by any means. you take away half of gerrard's game by giving him that role. of the current squad, maybe hargreaves. at least he's been playing regularly for his club.
