LOST - (SEASON 5) SPOILERS WITHIN...

Here's a prediction from me based on what I've seen up to now, and I have come to this conclusion, listening to the words the characters actually say, and not what my perception is from the way the show is filmed.  Also what I've read on various message boards.

I don't think in the sense of the word that The Others are actually villains.  They are only made out as villains from the perspective of the survivors.

I suspect in series 3 we will get the viewpoint from the Others that these survivors who have crash landed on their island are villains.  But to the viewers the survivors are the heroes.

I also have my theories on who the mysterious leader who is controlling events is, but that is easy enough to find out if you look hard enough.

after the last episode i'm in total agreement with you jmac and i'm also beginning to suspect who the 'leader' of the others is. he seems to tie together more and more of the characters the more flashbacks we see. i'm lovin' it!

I don't actually think the kids are in any of harms way from what I can make out.  Fair enough, The Others could have went about it differently.  But they might be scared of the survivors and that was the only way they knew to confront them.

Have a look at what THIS IS A SPOILER, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLICK IT UNLESS YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH SEASON TWO is all about.  I believe there is experimentation with various sciences and theories, but not at any actual harm to anyone.

Doesn't explain what they were going to do with Claire though after Aaron was going to be born.  I'm sorry about the cryptic discussion but it's so easy to give spoilers away even when you'r trying not to.

I can't wait until it's all explained.  It's really puzzling me.  I suspect it will not be any time soon.

No it cant get that deep. If you think most of the viewers are of Low to medium intelligence, :D not looking at anyone in particular... theyll go "what the fc.uk is this stuff?"

I believe if it isnt clones, then the purgatory thing with the losties overcoming their ulrimate sins and moving on ..being allowed to die. :lookaround Christian shepherd -something about that name.

Mmm, just watched the episode where Sawyer reverts back to his bad old ways.

I just knew he was being too nice.

:D Im dying to tell you something alex.. about the last episode-but youd kill me.

Im glad someone agrees with me. Just seems the obvious thing really, add to this all the "already dead" clues and statements. Also the way everyone seems to be connecting to their past life. why?

Gonna be DEEP if it isnt, real deep.

Just read the whole thread from front to back to see where people are at and the various theories...good read!

This is a cracking show and I can't wait for tonight's episode (on in just under 2 hours here in Canuck-land!)...

My only worry with the show is that it will go the way of Alias (another J.J. Abrams series)--pure brilliance for two seasons, patchy at best for Season 3, decidedly poor for Season 4 and absolutely cack for the current 5th and final season.  In fact, last week's episode (Alias not Lost) was laughably bad.

Abrams strikes me as the kind of creator that needs multiple simultaneous projects and one who loses the plot in earlier series once he's on to the next one.  Hope that: 1) I'm wrong about this for Lost or 2) that Damon Lindeloff is the true creative genuis behind the show and that he's 100% focused on Lost!
