This might sound a silly question to some, but can anyone tell me how i get my new avatar and banner on my posts. My home P C has gone to hospital and i can only use my works one which i'm on at the moment. It has a lot of restrictions on it i.e sites i can use. Some advice would be handy or should i wait until my PC comes home.

you can upload your avatar directly from your PC
as for siggie, you need to host them to, e.g.; www.imageshack.us
copy the URL given and then put it into sig space with format like following:

just copy and paste this (as john provided) to your siggie space (surf through your control panel, the link is up there)
