my parents were actually rockers, altho id be a mod any day. the film is tho one of the most biased reflections on any time that ive ever seen, altho it does make good cinema. Phil daniels is class and ray winstones cameo is funny as :censored:

Its a great film but star wars is more realistic in all honesty.

mods and rockers were mates, they allliked the same music. there were fights but the rockers normally kicked the :censored: out of the mods. the brighton fight is sort of true but it has left out so many times the mods were destroyed. the rockers had massive powerful bikes and would knock the mdos off their scooters like it was just going bowling all the time. maybe biased is the wrong word, but it definately didnt reflect the times at all really. or maybe my folks are just as biased. they hate that i prefer the mods :D

Quadrophenia (1979)
Summary: London, 1965: Like many other youths Jimmy's hates the philistine life, especially his parents and his job in mailing division...
Cast..................
Phil Daniels ....  James Michael 'Jimmy' Cooper
Leslie Ash ....  Steph
Philip Davis ....  Chalky
Mark Wingett ....  Dave
Sting ....  Ace Face
Ray Winstone ....  Kevin
Garry Cooper ....  Peter
Gary Shail ....  Spider
Toyah Willcox ....  Monkey
Trevor Laird ....  Ferdy
Kate Williams ....  Mother
Michael Elphick ....  Father
Kim Neve ....  Yvonne
Benjamin Whitrow ....  Mr. Fulford
Daniel Peacock ....  Danny

Have the DVD. Had the video too, but played it done. I think its a brilliant film. I have always liked films that portrayed life in the 60's and 70's.
My dad used to be a rocker. He told me that on Easter Monday they used to go to Bangor (NI) to fight the Mod's.  :D
