I don't agree with this thread, not because of the replies, but because I don't think you should look at the team in such a blunt fashion.  Why do 5 need to go?  Are we soo deep in debt (which we aren't) that we need to sell players because wages are too high?!?!  This type of thinking is an insult to the players

That being said for players to go (which has been covered before) I'd like to see the backs of all our players on loan with the exception of Scott Carson, Ping Pong, and a controversial choice, ALT.  I don't really want to see the on loan players leave, but of all of them even with Mellor's heart I don't think they are simply good enough, and when their best isn't good enough they should leave.

I would also like to see Traore, Dudek, and Morientes leave.  Traore is a mess and he'll never be good enough for us no matter how hard he trains, and don't doubt the man he certainly has improved under Benitez, but as a player you can only improve so much, so he gets the ax.

Dudek is under utilised at Liverpool, and face it the legend deserves better, and should leave with his stature intact.

Finally Morientes should leave.  Why? He'll never settle? No!  Because he has time working against him.  I do believe with time he will turn into a goal scoring machine, but he is already losing his pace, and I think age will catch him before he comes to terms with the english game.  Some will argue that he was never a fast player, but rather more like Fowler and had an eye for the goal.  But even then he is still missing the chances he creates and this comes down to confidence, confidence which will take time to rebuild, time that Morientes does not have.

As for who comes in.....
You claim we need two people, I'm assuming you mean 1 Forward 1 Wing

As for the right midfield situation.  I firmly believe that we have enough personnel to cover this area adequately.  For you statos ut there I saw a thread earlier that said of all the teams in the premier league Liverpool have the most crosses of any team in the epl, and of these attempted crosses 33% make it into the box, ranking 2nd in the league.  Even without Gerrard on the right, we have Garcia, Kromkamp, and  the rising Paul Anderson.
Because we have cover in the position and Kromkamp could well prove to be an excellent winger by the end of the season, we can afford Anderson time to develop, and when he comes of age I think he will glow.  But as for next season I see Kromkamp and Finnan combo down the right side, with Garcia coming on late to mix things up and push for an equalizer.  In this sense Liveprool are solid and I don't think anyone needs to be brought in.

And to ruin my sound argument (at least it is to myself)  for forward I say we buy Adriano !  :p  Realistically I see interest being drummed up over the dutch fellow who'se name i just forgot, but I can't imagine we'll see him donning the red jersey of liverpool anytime in the near future.  Honestly i have no idea, but if i was forced to throw out a name I'd say Jermaine Defoe, though if he was to come merseyside, we'd see Cisse heading to London. :(

Oh and to end in an eclectic fashion, don't forget that we have Marc Gonzalez coming in over the summer with his work permit, and possibly him and Kewell or other wingers could swap sides throughout the match and mix it up ala chelsea with duff and robben.  Though Kewell is playing fine right now, so I would'nt mess with his position atm.  But alas I don't even know if Kewell can play right mid effectively so just drop the idea, and remember we have Marc Gonzalez coming in over the summer, and hopefully he will help save Real Sociedad from relegation for our favorite spanish member!!  (you know who you are)  LAST RAMBLE I PROMISE!!  I just realised that if he saved Real Sociedad from relegation and came back to Liverpool for next season it'd be mighty similar to Kieran Richardson saving WBA last season!  and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
