well if wikipedia says it's true then hey it's gotta be true :D

"Also, flange is also occasionally used as the collective noun for baboons. This usage originates in a sketch in the British TV comedy series, Not The Nine O'clock News, but is still to be found in entirely serious contexts"

where's taff when we need a definitive answer eh? :suspect:

Flange revealed ,in all it's glory .

Image

IMPORTANT .

Sizes 10", 12", 14" and 16" flanges are Van Stone style which means they have a free-floating ring that enables the bolt holes to be aligned after the flange has been assembled to the pipe, greatly simplifying installation.
10" and 12" flanges are also available in Spigot ends, and are also available in CPVC.

behave in hear could work if a cognitive speech system was in place, but n a non auditory situation such as this i would say hear is wrong, ergo here should be written  :p
