Can actually drink legally now

Yeh, pretty amazing how the police take care of that in Ireland and U.K.

It's not legal here but the police many times turn the blind eye. I remember I went to drink some beer cans with some Irish mates when I went there in the very early nineties. And we had to hide to do that, and one day we had to run a lot because a mate came saying bóllocks and that the Garda was around.

I later knew that I'd be sent to Spain if cought, or so I was told

I had a discussion with one of the irish mates that was surprised that in Spain police didn't pursue that. That that would make more alcoholics, perhaps. To be honest, I think that the mere fact of being forbidden it makes drinking itself more interesting for a youngster. In Spain we all start drinking much, and then you realise that barfing and all that is not fun, so you moderate.

Erm, bah, another oldy rant. CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!! ENJOY!

I too will be getting smashed tonight, (as a matter of fact I'm off to my local in ten little minutes......) just as I did last night (was in Havana on the tequilas......) and will do tomorrow after I go and watch us batter Manchester City. Sitting in the lower centenary tomorrow.
