Any one got Skype?
Installed it last week and the phone has rang a few times in the middle of the night from people in India, Australia and a Nigerian asking was his Skype it working weird

That free internet Phone, you have to pay to ring a normal phone but if you and whom ever your ringing have Skype its free.

spoke to a geezer in taiwan on it round at a client's house a few months back and gotta say i was well impressed, the sound quality is better than i've ever heard on a normal phoneline, totally crystal clear. voice over ip is the future of telephony - nokia are bringing out mobiles that can make calls over your wireless broadband (if you have it) if you're in range

the only problem with skype is that to get the full benefit all your mates have to have it as well, otherwise you're still paying for calls. if there's somebody abroad who you speak to a lot it's a godsend

i use skype for meetings with people in the UK and its great. there is a tiny delay in the audio, meaning that you get that slightly off-putting thing of hearing yourself half a second after you've said something - but what the hell, its free.

i dunno how you've had people calling you on it though, lynds. i thought you had to share your details with someone for them to be able to contact you...

actually, you know what? i've just had a great idea... a skype area for the forum. we could abuse each other verbally and see who really IS funny and who has to sit scratching their erse for half an hour to come with something witty.

No Andy once you register you can phone anyone in the world that also has Skype, its like a world wide phone book.
