Hasim Rahman has been named the new WBC heavyweight champion following the retirement of Vitali Klitschko.
The World Boxing Council voted to declare the 33-year-old 'interim champion' the new title-holder.
WBC president Jose Sulaiman said: "The WBC has received a majority voting of the board of governors to declare Hasim Rahman the undisputed WBC heavyweight champion of the world.

What a joke!
I remember when boxers had to win a fight to be crowned world champion. Surely there should be a fight to win the vacant title - like when Lewis retired.
Is this another case of the WBC favouring Don King fighters?
