i was on the books of a pro team when i was younger, but ended up doing another worth while career, due to injury of the knee

Judge, live your dreams through this forum. I'll be here for a little while longer. I'm all ears. Tell me more. Tell me about the one where you played on Gerrard as a kid and thrashed him....and you woke up all wet.

Woof, lame but one of your better posts. I was wondering who the grammar pig was going to be when your wit fell by the wayside. Coupled with the sarcasm and extensive use of 'emoticons' from Judge I think you nearly have me at check mate.

Cheers , nice of you to be so accomodating , perhaps now you'd like to lick my nuts ?

get_a_life's post was quite obviously biased and obviously posted in the heat of the moment.
To say we are lucky that Harry graces Anfield is a bit insulting imo, although i agree that there is no grounds for this thread being started.
I think Judge started one just as he was coming back from injury and i stated then what i will again.
Harry Kewell has frustrated alot of people with not only his injuries (not his fault) but also with a poor attitude...having said that, we need to forget about any mistakes he has made and get behind the lad, he has looked pretty sharp so far in his comeback and criticising him helps nobody.

Haha very clever Judge, you have managed to wake me from my monday morning hangover.
Seriously though the Kewell baiting previously might have been fair enough, but at this time there are no grounds at all.

Like how my name is mentioned,i only said Harry the poof because hes more passionate about keeping his hair band in place and his nice white football boots than showing any passion on the pitch, and not any can argue with that.

Back to topic.

Ian Doyle Daily Post Staff

HARRY KEWELL is facing a crucial two-month period that could make or break his Liverpool career.

The Australian midfielder has endured a miserable time since Rafael Benitez's arrival at Anfield, culminating in the groin injury that curtailed his appearance in the European Cup final in May.

However, Kewell's subsequent good form on his return to fitness sees him competing for a starting role in this afternoon's Premier-ship visit to Aston Villa.

Villa manager David O'Leary, who was in charge of Kewell at Leeds United, is contemplating making a move for the 27-year-old when the transfer window opens in January.

But Benitez has issued a challenge to the Australian to secure his future at the European Champions by building on his encouraging comeback.

"We need to see Harry Kewell in the next month or so and see how he does," said the Liverpool manager. "I am patient with him.

"I think he still wants to succeed at Liverpool, and as a team you would want a winger or a second striker with the quality of Harry Kewell.

"He will play with us and the national team and if he plays games in a row we can see what he does. When a player has been injured for a long time then it is important that he plays games."

Kewell's time under Benitez has been dogged by poor form and persistent injury, leading to an angry exchange of words between Liverpool and the Australian national team over the Anfield outfit's treatment of the player.

However, the manager has shown faith in the player since his recovery from a groin operation and believes he will benefit from an extended run in the side.

Kewell has been handed starting roles against Fulham and Crystal Palace in recent weeks and made late substitute appearances in both Champions League victories over Anderlecht.

And Benitez added: "We have confidence in him because he has the quality that we need. In my opinion he has all the potential talent, and we are supporting him so he must give a lot of things to us.

"Harry Kewell is trying to play as well as possible for us now. That is his priority. If he plays well then it is easier for him.

"The players who have been injured for a while need time. He is a good player, and if someone is as good as Harry then we need to give him support so that he plays well.

"When he played against Anderlecht away for the last 15 minutes he did well, and the other night look how well he did to set up the goal for Djibril Cisse. His confidence will improve when he scores a goal himself."

Benitez continued: "The first game that I saw in England was Manchester United against Leeds. Harry was up against Jaap Stam, who was one of the best centrebacks in the world at the time, and he did really well.

"He won the ball in the air, was dribbling and passing and it was an amazing game from him.

"I was talking to the Spanish scouts who were at that game and they were all saying the same thing.

"He also played against Valencia, and I talked to the players there and they spoke really well of him."
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Get_a_life - You actually make a few decent points in your post but unfortunately the whole thing is laced with abuse, bad feeling and clearly you have personal agendas with several posters on this forum. Can only assume that you are just another pseudnym (is that how you spell it?) for one of the many bitter :censored: we have had on this forum.

As for Harry i do feel he gets worse than he deserves. If he was ugly, wore black boots and had a crew cut i think he would probably be spared a lot of the grief he gets from fans. He hasn't done it for us yet but some of the grief he got after Istanbul was harsh to say the least. I can't believe some fans, when seeing him running to celebrate the incredible win with his teamates actually seemed to believe that he had faked the injury during the match.

I felt Kewell rolled his sleeves up and put in the effort when he was fit last year. He didn't play particularly well (with the ball at his feet) but he was doing the dirty work, putting in tackles, winning headers and tracking back (at least more than we had seen the previous season)

It's good to see that Rafa is bringing him back slowly this time. If we could get him fit and playing with confidence it would be like signing a new player.

Kewell started off the move for our second goal....his second assist in two games i might add, and i'm going to give him until Jan before i start making judgments.  Rafa rates him and if he's good enough for the boss, he's good enough for me

Judge, Judge, Judge...this Kewell bashing type post of yours is old, it's been done to death and you have added NOTHING to the arguement/discussion/debate. In fact I think it is more like a MASS-DEBATE (bet no one has heard that joke before...it must be one of Judge's old ones) for The Hangin' Judge.

The entire thread should just be locked. It's :censored:!!!
