LMAO

:D :p :D

Liverpool have been told by David O'Leary that Aston Villa winger Nolberto Solano is not for sale.

The Peruvian is 18 months into his Villa career but has been linked with an exchange deal involving Liverpool striker Milan Baros.

Villa have agreed personal terms with Baros and are looking towards reaching a compromise with Liverpool on a fee.

However Villa manager O'Leary has warned Reds counterpart Rafael Benitez off the 30-year-old former Newcastle player.

O'Leary told club website: "I admire Liverpool's taste, but Nobby is an important part of our plans and will not be going anywhere."

Solano is in the final year of his contract, which expires at the end of June 2006, and although Villa claim to have been approached by Liverpool, they are determined to keep last season's top scorer at the club

??? This is in the Baros topic, Its in the transfer rumours topic, so there was really no need to start another topic about, and if he does sign I will be very dissapionted that the Champions of europe are buying, newcastle+Villa cast off Solano, plus Chelsea and Boros castoff Zenden  :kungfu:

Please tell me that this is rhyming slang and not some bizarre and twisted ritual you and your "main man" perform on a regular basis. I know we are nation of dog lovers but really.   :D

The jury is still out on him, for me and alot of other Lpool fans, he was Boros best player last season, in central midfield and not on the wing.
But we shall wait and see.

i agree with you, i`d rather hoped for someone with a bit more pace than solano and zenden to me lacks bottle. he can obviously play a bit but he`s too easy to push off the ball and slows down whenever there`s a chance of a 50/50 coming off.
its early days yet and garcia has definately toughened up so maybe rafa can do the same trick with bolo.

I have always been a fan of Solano, he is a wonderful crosser of the ball but he is knocking on a bit and would only provide a short term option.  I think I would prefer someone with more pace and a bit younger
