is beyond me.. however, integration is not about loosing your values and beliefs rather about embracing and adapting to where you live.. yes learning the lingo, part taking in or respecting traditons etc .. and taking the best of both.. from a culture of heritage to one adopted through migration etc etc ..

...most of all our nations are developed enuff and multi-cultural enuff to know that tarnishing whole communities with one brush.. is rather immature and unnecessary..
I think the views that you express at the end of that quote ( your orginal long winded one
) don't quite fit in to this ethos.. I don't begrudge you your feelings.. but let me remind you that whenever other countries have been the subject of colonisation/cilivilsation these processes have historically subjected the indigenous population and exposed them to values and ideals that are not necessarily always condusive to there lifestyles..
