explosion was on number 26 bus in hackney.

plus hospitals have been put on alert for a man in a blue top with a hole in its back. there are more details but dont have them

and yes I've seen loads of "black" asians in the southern parts of india , black as the ace of spades.

Not quite sure how to interpret you comment re: bloody idiots . are you suggesting that your anger towards them is generated soley by their failure to immolate themselves and countless innocents .

but the reality is they will be put in a secure location which will cost daft bu@@ers like me and you thousands of pounds to keep them in a prison with a telly, snooker hall, swimming pool, jacussi baths and probably a mosque or some place of worship.

it stinks. this country stinks. Daft thing is, these 'Asians' or 'muslims' or whatever they are, well they're probably British. They were born in this country and have as much right to be here as me or Judge. why do they do it?

Well you have misread my comments.....They are idiots for doing what they have done...End of!!!

And you are right about the Indians from the south, as i am sure Bangladeshi's are often 'very dark' too, but both i wouldnt consider as 'black'....MY DAD is 'black', and I have still to see a 'black' person from central or far eastern asia.

But then again a lot of people would consider these people as 'black' so i suppose i see where the reports may be coming from.

As stated , "not quite sure how to interpret your comment re bloody idiots " .You've now clarified that . I don't have a problem, you however seem to resent being asked to explain further when someone is unsure of your perspective on sensitive issue's.

As for the "black" thing , Again I don't want to misinterpret your perception , are you saying that ONLY people of ethnic african origin can legitimately be descrbed as Black ?
How should I descibe someone from Africa who's complexion is a light tan (and there's loads of them) . Do I call them black or african ?

The description of the suspect as black was clearly a reference to his skin colour ,you however seem to have a problem with that,perhaps feeling slighted that people of African descent were being drawn into the picture because the suspect was described as black even though the report also clearly stated he was facially of asian appearance, and you then go on to suggest that asian people(no matter what their hue) aren't black but Dark !
Christ , talk about stereotyping , sometimes your obsevations sound as racist as those made by the White South Africans when they deliberated whether someone was Bantu ,Coloured ,or White.

Firtsly, i actually ENJOY it when asked to explain myself, as I am sure you aware i have NEVER not backed up or clarified what i am trying to say if asked to do so!! I enjoy debate and this is what we do here....so why you say that i 'resent' i dont know.....maybe i am 'misinterpreting' you though

On the 'black thing' as you describe it, I am saying that a person is black, if they are black...simple as that. I am sorry but a person from say Zimbabwe or even Jamaica (as there are many there that are 'tanned' as you put it or even white) that is lightly tanned or white can IMO OBVIOUSLY not be described as black - TBH i dont see how they possibly could be???

It has nothing to do with origin, but to do with SKIN colour end of. The notion you give of the 'light tanned' person - i dont understand what point you are actually trying to make - of course you would describe them as African, how can they be described as black?? What just because they are from AFRICA they can be considered as 'black' - Dont be so stupid (i know you are not stupid btw!!

Put it like this, go and ask an Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and lets even throw in the rest of the Far East too, if they are 'black' and I gaurantee they will say 'NO'.

I am mixed race with tanned/olivey skin..........Therefore NOT black!!!! However, I KNOW for a fact (through racism) i am not considered by others as 'white'.

So there IS a difference between being 'black' skinned and having a 'dark' complexion....which i would consider myslef under......however, i am NOT as 'dark' as those you describe from Southern India and those that i have seen of Bangladeshi origin for example!!! But because they are 'darker' than me DOES NOT make them 'black'.

But as i stated in my first reply Woof, that to some (here i am talking about eyewitnesses primarily, but also society in general) if you are NOT white, then you MUST be black (which is of course is just ignorant) but thats how some see it......And due to this, I could see where the reports may have come from when you think about it.

Someone probably saw a 'suspect' who was 'dark' but described them as 'black' and asian.

I still would like evidence of an 'asian' (India etc;) that looks 'black' like a person from say the Congo, or Sierre Leone or Ghana or even Egypt along with much of South America and the West Indies!!

It is not about where you are from, but rather about how much melanin is in your skin, and for me South Asians etc; do not have enough to be considered black (when i say 'black' obvioulsy we know that NOBODY is actually black, but in the general sense that we ALL use the word to describe people of such complexion...ie; the Wind Rushers of the 50's/60's etc;)

I know you were'nt actually accusing me of sterotyping.....or were you???

However, the above question shows to me that by even considering such a question shows of being 'sterotypical', because how the hell can you consider someone of a tanned complexion of being black, if, you have already described them as being tanned/lighter.

Also being able to call them black because they are 'african' is very stertypical IMO....Its the same as saying, that tanned person is British, but should i consider him as 'white' ? (based on the same value that most in africa ARE black, and most of the UK population is 'white') it is just stupid in my opinion!!
