There are currently 52 pages in the existing rumour thread, how about we close it and open a new one to freshen things up? Just a suggestion

perhaps it can be done when the current transfer window closes. august right?
or even a whole new section called 'Football Related Rumours' where people can start their own threads on whatever rumour they hear down the local. personally i would avoid that section like the plague, but would be happy if it existed.

Loved ur Istanbul post. printed and showed to a few friends and they enjoyed the read. One of them reckons they saw you.

But how on earth is this suggestion a rumour?

I can't be sure you aren't taking the p.iss so i gotta laugh anyway.

Here is something that im bound to be b.ollocked for

In spite of reports in the mainstream media to the contrary, Liverpool are believed to have made an offer for Chelsea defender William Gallas. That bid is said to have been accepted by the London club.

Sources close to the club have informed this site that the France international now tops Benitez' transfer list. The Spaniard is believed to have pulled out of deals for Argentine Gabriel Milito and Spain international Pablo Ibanez and opt to add more Premiership experience to his squad.

If Benitez can convince Gallas to swap London for Liverpool it would certainly go down well with the Anfield faithful which has been awaiting the arrival of a top class defender.

The Reds are short for cover at the back since Mauricio Pellegrino left with only Djimi Traore and the unexperienced Zack Withbread left to take over in case Jamie Carragher or Sammi Hyypia get injured or suspended.

A player of Gallas class and experience will definitely be what the doctor ordered.

Would be a very welcome addition but I just cant see it happening, I doubt Maureen would sell him to us.

Me too to be honest Ciggy , tho if a player does want to leave a team for another isnt it in the interests of the team to sell ? considering that the players heart wont be in it or the effect on morale

Liverpool will sign Gabriel Milito or Walter Samuel by the end of the week. Also Peter Crouch won't be joining as l'pool will not pay 8m for him, so Javier Saviola will join instead. Nunez,Potter, Mellor, Le Tallec, Kewell and Dudek to leave

liverpool will deffo not sign figo as they have been put off by the £2m price tag. instead they will turn to english pair crouch(£8m) and upson (£5m).

as a trainee at liverpool, i can confirm that rafa benitez is in talks with both milito and ibanez. he wants to bring both central defenders to anfield in order to have greater competition in defence. also i would like to point out that the reason swp hasn't signed for chelsea yet is because he wants to join liverpool who are in the market for a rm. this is rafa's BIG signing of the summer. also dirk kujt will sign for liverpool by the end of the week as peter crouch is too overpriced.

so many of those reports contradcit each other you'd have to think 99.9% of it is absolute rubbish.
