He is way too underrated. He is one of the best backup players in Liverpool since he came. And now when hes about to leave,he becomes a hero acknowledged by Anfield.

LOL.

Lifes like that.

Good riddance, he was paid £40k a week for one or two good performances per season for six years !!

Dont let one good game fool you like too many other LFC fans do.

Back to Czech Republic I believe.

But still,Smicer is an unsung hero of the group. He makes his contributions but nobody recognises them as Gerrard,Alonso,Risse etc. are around.

Just like road sweepers and toilet cleaners who maintain public health are unrecognised and enter the background just because doctors are around to save them directly.

i'll miss him
I don't agree with you
many kop still treat him as a hero, recognise his contribution, but Gerrard Alonso play too well,no speak doesn't means don't like him

Yeah,I recognise the contributions of road sweepers too.Biscan & Hamann are also getting the big recognition they deserve after years.Well, maybe just Hamann because Biscan was lousy under Houllier.

Pity him?? He had the best part of 5 years to prove himself, and he didn't. Tough luck, great last game, but then again, he owed us that.

hrm i would like to say all those wages were worth it for his effort in the final!

I ask anyone to disagree with that!!

But in saying that, I too believed it is time for him to move on. I don't think he is :censored:, but more like he didnt fit in well with the squad, ie. gel with the rest of the team. Hence the few times he shined for us, and not doing so on a constant basis

Good Luck to him I say.

His best performance in 6 years was on the 25th. He has endeared himself to the hearts of all koppites after that. But still, he had 6 years to prove himself and never put back to back good performances together.

Best of luck Vladi.

Smicer has played only one great game in the last 2 seasons and that was on the final. Why would you want to keep a player like that.He wanted to leave with a medal and he did.

Good Luck Vladi Wherever You Go

I dont pity the fool!

No Smicer was OK, scored a couple of important goals here and there (well one VERY important one)

He always tried hard and loved the club but never quite lived up to my expectations.

But good luck to him, I'm sure he'll do well elsewhere
