Liverpool midfielder Bruno Cheyrou could well spend another season on loan in France.
Cheyrou has spent the season at Marseille, but is due to return to Anfield when his contract at the Stade Velodrome expires.
Marseille have made no indication that they will attempt to keep Cheyrou, which has prompted the player to suggest that he could be left out in the cold next term.
Cheyrou would appear to have no future at Anfield under Rafa Benitez, despite having a further two seasons to run on his contract, but reports are suggesting St Etienne and Nice are ready to offer him a lifeline.
Verts coach Elie Baup is a huge fan of the 27-year-old and feels he would add some craft to his side, while new Nice coach Frederic Antonetti is believed to have already enquired about Cheyrou's availability.
