I have no doubt that tonight will see the return of are lost comrades, the ficklebuggers. They will undoubtedly bombard the forum with thier opinions of how well we done against the odds. Yet our friends from Levski Klorates or something has been telling us we'll beat them easily.
Well I'm no ficklebugger so lets see
1 Danny murphy (love him) In mid field actually caused Gerrard to lie too deep first halve, the midfield dynamo was not in the game except for a run forward on the 35 minute mark he showed aggresion pace and determination not one of the LFC players responded too him. He had no option and as many forum users have repeatly stated he had no others around him with pace( looks great with england though)
Gerrard got a goal because Gerrard got a goal simple hes a cracker.
2 Lack of pace, already spoke about it, but if we had the pace that others have we would'nt be 26 points behind. Everybody including me is happy tonight but all I can think about is Leeds on Sunday. Owen missed a bucket full, in any normal team thats a good sign but in liverpool its bad.
3 Centre backs fine against a s##t team infact Levski were about the worst team we've played all season it was like a pre- season game in fact I've rarely seen any team come to Anfield and disrespect it so much as to play so cr#p.
4 Our Full Backs ok, In fact in the second halve Finnan and Carragher made the difference by pushing so far up the pitch.
5 Milan Baros showed on 15 minutes that at least Houllier had made one good buy and I believe he will continue to be a very influential player.
6 What concerned me most was that Levski played like most teams we've been up against this season, We have out played them in every department and they have been waiting for us to destroy them, in the case of Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal it did'nt happen yet we were clearly better. so what is wrong
7 I don't want to mar a great night although no doubt the ficklebuggers will complain, but Why are we so low in the league, What is the ambition of Houllier has he a havle year or a two year plan this time, When will we win the league, where will we be based, when will we emerge again as the greatest club side in Europe and who will lead us.
8 Its easy to be objective when you've paid a season ticket , your journey is never over until you've palyed every game. So I can understand the chants of support from the Anfield faithful, But we never beat anyone tonight. I know 11 guys from Belfast that could have stuffed the Bulgarians, I must introduce them to That Geezer from Wimbledon , Sanchez the Northern Ireland Manager.
