Hopefull he is cause he reckon Carragher will use the first 50/50 ball as an excuse to clatter him.

I don't know whether or not he can play but he certainly shouldn't be allowed to. Both for the reason that he is still OUR player ffs (not that I want him back, ever), and also for the fact that players playing AGAINST their employers is open to all kinds of duplicity. Say the Premiership was close, Man U v WBA is 2-1 to Man U with ten minutes to go (Earnshaw obviously got the West Brom goal but I digress :D ), West Brom get a penalty. The young black kid (who's name completely escapes me right now) who is on loan at the Hawthorns takes it and balloons it into the stands. Manure win 2-1 and close the gap on Liverpool to two points (well we are talking hypothetical so why not?   :D ). Wouldn't we be crying FOUL!! Damn right we would and it's time the governing bodies addressed the issue and closed the gate before the horse does a Shergar.

no he is not allowed to play as part of the loan agreement

this suits him as it doubles up as one of the games he is suspended for

Yes its a strange situation. He's not allowed to play under loan rules, yet it counts as one of his three match suspension

As far as the FA are concered he CAN play, but Liverpool agreed with Bolton that he wouldn't play against us...thus it counts as a match because its an agreement between the two clubs and nothing to do with the FA rules.
