First can i just say how chuffed i am of the teams performance not just from last night but through the competition, just annoys me and probably everyone out there that if they produced the same in the premiership we would be up there with Arsenal, Scum and Chelsea, no dought about it, the pass and move was the best i have seen and the amount of chances we created was just rewards to how the team played.

Anyway what i need to know is, if we win the champions league (can be done with perfomances like that of last night) what will happen to the 4th place spot - because there are 4 teams that go through and winners of the cup automatically go into the cup the next year, does this mean we could really f*ck up Evertons chances.

yes, if everton finish 4th and we win champions league they dont qualify

Its up to the F.A. to decide who gets the CL place, if we win it and everton get 4th.

Nope UEFA will leave it up to the F.A. to decide us finishing 5th 6th what ever? or will they put everton in if they finish 4th.
I can see the F.A. picking us no matter what, but imagine the bitters if this really happens and they get 4th. They will spontanious combust with anger

I couldn't think of a better end to the season , under those circumstances (ie we win the CL) I would actually want us to finish below everton and nick their place in next seasons CL. They would NEVER get over it . :devil:

Winners go through no matter what. If we finish 5th and win cl andtossy-toffees finish 4th, we both go into the cl. Trust me, I know.

You got that wrong if we win the Champions League and Everton finish 4th Everton will drop into the Uefa cup
