Morientes.."watch me carefully in cardiff warm up"

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Morientes has told Liverpool fans to keep an eye on his face during the warm-up to see how confident he's feeling about scoring at the Millennium Stadium this weekend.

"I never have a clue if I'll score before a game but from the moment I set foot on the pitch in the warm-up I know if I feel right or not," he said.

"Sometimes I get a feeling in the warm-up that I'll score, but also there are times when I feel lousy and still score a couple. But if you see me smiling in the warm-up on Sunday then you know I feel good!"

See if you can spot it!

Does that mean that Frank Lampard will make his first crunching tackle during warm up?

If Morientes gets injured or if any of our players get injured for that matter I will eat my foot.

I think we should have someone make a hard tackle on Lampard and just to say hi so he will be taken out of the game mentally if not physically (don't want him to get hurt but well things happen). Without Lampard for the already depleted lineup, we surely will have a better chance tonight.

Chelsea have taken a squad of 23 to Cardiff including a number of players who are not available for the Carling Cup Final.

The squad is: Petr Cech, Glen Johnson, Claude Makelele, Alexey Smertin, Ricardo Carvalho, Frank Lampard, Mateja Kezman, Joe Cole, Damien Duff, William Gallas, Gérémi, Didier Drogba, Arjen Robben, Scott Parker, Paulo Ferreira, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Carlo Cudicini, John Terry, Jiri Jarošik, Robert Huth, Tiago, Nuno Morais and Lenny Pidgeley.

The team flew west after a lunchtime training session and arrived at their hotel in the late afternoon. They declined an opportunity to go and see the stadium.

See how arrogant refusing to go see the stadium, hope that comes back to bite them in the @rse :glare:  :D
