It seems every few years the S*n pop up with some sort of apology,It never seems heartfelt just a ploy to get more readers. If they had any sence then they would just let it go, nobody will forgive them and nobody will buy their paper. It must be heartbreaking for the familes to keep bring up this subject.

WE
LIED

That should be the headline whether its forgive or not, if the man had any values he would print that regardless of increasing sales or not. egardless of whether the families would see him. Regardless of any brownie points for the paper.

Just print that and thats all even of not one more copy gets sold because of it its the right thing to do

I really admired that couple who wrote to their sons killer, personally Id wait for him to get released.

Forgiveness is a difficult thing but it does not get helped by the blatant way the Sun were looking at circulation gains not genuine regret over their actions.

Walking out of Hillsborough that fateful day is still a blur to me, the memory of seeing so many dead and injured lives with those of who where there that day and to those who watched it live on television.
Utter shock and dismay journeyed home with us, we were the lucky ones we all knew it could have been any of us.

The people of Merseyside joined together everyone expressed their grief, be they Red or Blue. Football didn’t matter anymore 96 of our brothers and sisters didn’t make the journey home with us. The relief from family, friends and work colleagues is something I certainly can’t put into words. The sight of seeing grown men and women crying in the street will forever live with me.

In time the Sxn issued it’s never to be forget headline “The Truth” suddenly we where classed as the villains, the cause of the disaster? We where no longer allowed to grieve for those who died but became the focus point to those who believed the Lies that the Sxn printed.

We didn’t urinate on the Police.
We didn’t steal belongings from the dead or the dying.

The Sxn didn’t cause the tragedy, but it turned those who where there into guilty survivors? Survivor guilt lives with us everyday we where the lucky ones who got out alive, yet we live with this guilt because we know it could have been us who never came home. The Sxn is responsible for compounding the tragedy even worse by making the lives of those survivors a complete misery.

How many people suffered both physical and mental torture as a result of this? Some remain in that condition to this very day.

With regards to last night’s programme, my own personal views are that the programme was a result of either very poor of lazy journalism or just bad editing on behalf of the BBC. I don’t for one minute believe that the “so-called” apology was sincere, why did he read only the first two paragraph’s of the “so-called” apology from last July and not the whole of the so-called apology?

Sales of the Sxn continue to fall here on Merseyside, they have lost millions of pounds as a result of “The Truth” they printed. The only reason the Sxn are trying to worm there way back into the eyes of the Merseyside public is because the boycott is hurting them financially, that’s all they are interested in MONEY?

One day the Sxn will understand that the Boycott is not only Merseyside based, it’s slowly gathering pace right across the UK as more and more Liverpool supporters from around the country join in the fight for JUSTICE.

You earn forgiveness you can’t buy it.

May they hold there heads in shame at the way they treated us?

Fifteen years is a long time in the fight for JUSTICE, the boycott continues NEVER BUY THE SXN.

Thank you

the Saturday after  Hillsborough i come back to our ground and took part in the scarves across the park as we stood outside the ground Joe Fagan come up to us and all he was saying was how bad the press had been to the fans, he said that all liverpool fans should take this time to show how strong we are and that liverpool fc will show how much they love the fans and for now we should forget the press and just be there for each other and in time we will get a chance to put the wrongs to right, last nights show did not do that and for me the S*n can never pay back the hurt that they made us feel , Joe was a great man he spent 4 hours walking up and down the lines of fans outside the ground and i know what had been said the the s*n had hurt him just as much as it had hurt the familys that had lost loved ones

mottman as i sat looking at the tv last night one thing did come to mind , did the bbc try and set the s*un up with this prog , to me it showed more of what the s*n was about than anything(money) today i have bumped into loads of people that feel that it was more about how bad the s*n are than anything else.

if the s*n felt that this prog was going to help  them then the bbc made sure it did not.

NO...it was give them what they wanted first.

FV( K THEM.....

That was the thing that sickened me the most. If they had any sincere wish to apologise they would have firstly donated £1M to the Justice campaign and then used as much of their resources as possible to investigate the real truth, giving it banner headlines like they did with the lies they printed back in 1989. Only after all of that had been done, should they have looked for an apology. The way they went about it was disgusting; i.e. we have resources to investigate the real truth and to help the families but we'll only do it if you let us off the hook first and start buying our "paper" again. i totally agree with you, i was fuming when he said that, made me even more full of hatred for he Scum, if they have any guilt or remorse they will sack that bloke and do the right thing ie give a shed load of money to the families and the justice campaign, then do whatever they can to repair the damage in the paper itself , ie grovell and use there paper for the fight for justice, asking for forgiveness is not the way forward earning it is what they should try to do, maybe after 16 years of that people may start to buy the paper again, but still doubt they will be forgiven.

I agree. I would never read it even if they did what I outlined in my previous post. It is written by morons for morons. One sad fact that last night's programme referred to was the fact that many Liverpool fans listen to and ring up talksport when the scumbag who wrote the article is the owner.

Why do shops in liverpool sell the s*n ? I remember when they wrote the article nobody would stock it, but over the years shops have started to sell it again.

I think Scousers should ask the shop owners why they are selling the sun?

Is it possible that some of the shop owners are immigrants and don't know the story?

People should tell the shops not to buy it, even a campaign to increase the boycott.
