Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We've witnessed the replay of the Southampton's fixture and it just proves that one of our main problems are inconsistancy.

Just when you think that things will start to change we're back to square one. Today was a great oppurtunity to cut Everton's lead to only two points but because we can't play as a team and have no motivation at times like this we bottle it.

I am eager to see how Carson will perform in the Premiership, I've had enough of Dudek. He p1sses his pants everytime a ball is crossed into the box.

Hyypia has always been slow but it seems that he is no longer the future. He's been exposed too many times this season and if we plan to challenge the title anytime soon we need a better defender than Hyypia.

Our main problem right now is the midfield. We don't have any good wingers that could be possibly compared to the likes of Arjen Robben and Damien Duff. The central midfield seems to be crashing and burning more and more. Without Alonso we can't control the midfield during game and can not dictate the passing game.

Gerrard has been poor by his standards for a good month now. He's the captain and should set an example and not play on the pitch like he doesn't care. He's getting caught up in his own hype and has been outclassed too many times in games.

We've missed Alonso and Garcia. Yes Garcia loses the ball but his cross against Fulham that lead to the Morientes goal was better than Smicer's and Nunez's crosses put together.

One stop forward,two steps backwards.

I hate to say it, and be bring the wrath down for mentioning it again, but I really think SG is going.  His heart isn't in it anymore.  He no longer dominates the play in the middle of the park.  His performances have been lack lustre. We only remember his goal against Olympiakos, but for the rest of the match we went missing.

Hyppia, Hamman and Biscan, I think, know they won't be playing at Liverpool next year - so their performances have been poor, compared to previous years. Except Biscan't he was always cr@p.  He fooled us at the start of the season - but has deteriorated into his usual level.

I don't feel that we will get the team spirit back until after these players leave, and are replaced by quality signings.

As soon as i saw Biscan on the squad sheet i had a sense of  forboading. I couldnt understand why he was played when we could of had 2 up front and Nunez/ Smicer on the right wing .Both of these players are itching to prove a point for various reasons.
We really miss Alonso in midfield controlling the passing , SG yet again had a poor game and yes it was a re-run of  the Southampton game , poor poor poor  , only way to describe it .:(
