Am I the only one? - Jan 31st comes and goes!

Am i the only one who is a tad disappointed that we haven't signed a couple more players or at least loaned a few till the end of the season ?  ???

We have a very important CL fixture early March plus a Carling Cup final at the end of Feb yet have a LOT of players unavailable due to injury.Add to taht the final puish for 4th spot and a CL place for NEXT season. Gerrard may have already decided he's on his way but that doesn't stop us going all out for 4th spot !

To my mind we needed a Central Defender and a Central midfielder at the very least.   :kungfu:

Nah your not the only one ... I can understand us not buying players if they are not the right price or the right skill but I am sure a couple loan signings might of been benificial to us right now . :oh:

We took Anelka on Loan a few seasons back and everyone knew Macallister wasn't long term but they both did excellent jobs for LFC and I have fond memories of both. The signing of Morientes is class and I can understand taking Pellagrino on for 6 months but we are down to the bare bones when it comes to the "Big" game players  ???

I can only assume that Rafa realised there is no money in the kitty or he was told there is no more money, and is therefore happy to welcome back Le Tallec and Smicer,as two "new signings".

And how much money do we stand to lose by finishing 5th ?  ??? 10M ? 15 M ? Why not invest that sum now and give ourselves a decent chance of recouping it by finishing 4th ? :kungfu:

how do you know Gerrrard is leaving Dalglish it is unlike you to say something so negative when we all have no proof what so ever about the subject. And on the transfer situation maybe the right payers where not available so you want to bring in more ****** that does nothing for the team Rafa will buy the right players when they are avaliable at the right price its called looking at the big piture and looking after the club.

I'm not sure your argument about the right players for the right price stands up Lili ................ We could have takena  number of players on loan until the end of the season but the reality is we haven't even tried .

On the Gerrard saga......... Maybe I'm preparing myself for the worse but hoping for the best. ???

We should have brought more players in, we have no squad thanks to injuries as it is

my argument is Dalglish is that we are in a rebuilding fase if you like, you can not expect all the success to come rolling in when this is happening, to me fourth place is not the be all end all, we have had a lot of injuries this year but these players will be back next year there not going anywhere we will buy the right players in the summer and with a fresh start to the new season I'm shore this team will improve and be competing for trophies. Unfortunatley some fans are loosing patience i hope you not one of these Dalglish.

I'm not losing partience whatsoever Lili and I'm pleased with the progress made this season. The football's better , the teams given me some great memories already and in Alonso and Morientes we have 2 seriously top quality players.

However in these fickle days of instant success you only have to drop in here after a loss to realise that the expectations are high and if we don't make 4th spot and secure a CL placing then many will see it as a backward step this season and any hopes of securing SG for another season will be gone . (although I believe he is already on his way)

I'm not one of them but I've been puzzled as to why we haven't secured a couple of players on loan to tide us over the next 4 months ??? The injury list is extensive and needs addressing, the younsters aren't good enough yet and  there is no guarantee we wil not lose futher players through injury or suspension !

We don't have the funds or Rafa hasn't found any players that are right for us. Who knows wtf goes behind closed doors. I'm pleased with two good signings for 7 million pounds, that's good business. Perphaps we need one or two players more but I think because our players have come back from injuries Rafa changed his mind, but like I said who the hell knows.

Hi AB, i appreciate the injuries were largely unforseen and its not wise to throw money at a situation that may well fix itself once the injured players return BUT surely a couple of loan signings would have been a short term fix until the end of the season ? ???

Blame to the Chairman of the club. I still don’t understand why he don’t want to change and “open up that door” to let other investors to give money to RB to buy new players.
