Rafael Benitez will again turn to his young players and give them a chance in Tuesday's rescheduled FA Cup 3rd round tie at Burnley and says he has a lot of faith in them.
The likes of Stephen Warnock, Neil Mellor, Darren Potter, David Raven, John Welsh and Zak Whitbread are all expected to figure in the match, while Mark Smyth could be on the bench. While the Liverpool manager admits the FA Cup is not the highest on Liverpool's priorities this season he did say he wants to win the match and take the team as far as they can in the competition.
Captain Steven Gerrard will be rested and miss the match but Benitez revealed that the much maligned Jerzy Dudek will start in goal with 20-year-old Scouser Paul Harrison again on the bench.
Benitez said: "The first priority for us is to finish in the top four in the Premiership and continue to do well in the Champions League. The most important for the supporters is the Premiership.
"I like to give the young players a chance because they have done very well and taken us to the semi-final of the Carling Cup this season. Against Watford I used a more senior team and they played worse than the young players had done in the competition.
"I want to win every match and am confident the young players will do well again for us."
