Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Despite our loss today I would like to think that we can plenty of points from the next five league games as we do not face any difficult top opposition.

-v. Southampton (Away)
-v. Charlton Athletic (Away)
-v. Fulham (Home)
-v. Birmingham City (Away)
-v. Blackburn Rovers (Home)

Maximum points would extremely make a difference but 13 out 15 points would not be bad as well. We have good enough players to get on a run and pick our selves up after a disapointment today. The only opponent out of those five who look like they can give us trouble is Charlton and I think we have improved our away form enough to win our games on the road.

My team would be:

Dudek

Finnan
Carragher
Hyypia
Traore

Nunez
Gerrard
Biscan
Riise

Morientes
Baros

I would play Biscan and Morientes in these cup games to get them into match fitness, especially Morientes. I think Hamann needs to rest a bit. We've been in good form this past month and we can do it again.

yeah, i think were gonna need a good run to keep in the race for the champions league places, apparently spurs were unlucky against chelsea and everton have got the best end of season run in of any team apparently.
things are just seeming to go against us recently so its really important whoever plays on tuesday really puts down a marker early on and lets burnley know who`s boss.
a tentative start and it could be a watford type match and with a sell out home crowd behind them burnley might start playing above their status.
we`ve gotta get into them early.

on a brighter note everton haven't yet played manure or chelsea so when they start to lost those points we can have a chance of catching up.

3 away games and two homes, confident of 6 points from the home games but those three away games may look easy but are the kind of games weve lost or drawn recently, don't forget were gonna have a sh!tload of cup games as well as those league games.

I'm just hoping after getting beat of that lot the squad isnt on a downer and suffer a hang-over from it. A convincing 4,5-nil victory on Tuesday, all be it a Championship team, will be a good confidence booster going into those five games

Everton and Boro shared the spoils so we are still 5th.

but those three away games may look easy but are the kind of games weve lost or drawn recently, don't forget were gonna have a sh!tload of cup games as well as those league games.

I think with Morientes and Baros partnership this time around we will put away our chances. One of the reasons we've drawn or lost is because we couldn't score from many chance that we have.

Also now that EFC have lost Graveson, they may find it harder to grind out results
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
