Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Noticed over on RAWK a cracking thread on the debate that is the pronunciation of our spanish contingents names.

I have heard some corkers my self on MOTD.

What is it with commentators trying to out do each other on the stupid pronunciation of players names?

:D

John Toshak, a fluent Spanish speaker and the man who gave Xabi Alonso his professional debut, pronounces his name "Chabi".

Funniest ever was the commentator that called Thierry Henry "Terry 'Enry" a few years ago, although on reflection, that may have been a wind up.
