The IHJC Cup for 2004 will be taking place in the Astropark in Tallaght on March 6th. Commencing at 12:00. The Astropark is on the Greenhills Road near to Xtravision.

It will have the same format as last year. There will two groups of 5 teams. Each game is 10 mins in length. First and Second of each group will qualify for the semi-finals and obviously the winners meet in the final. Last years winners, the infamous Brown Rings, will be back in an attempt to reclaim their title.....

Medical representation is guaranteed of those who will need it.... not gercav though, engine like Stevie G that man does

Each time will have to have a minimum of 5 players on their team and a maximum of 7. Cost per man is €40.... now that may seem a lot but please bear with me and you will see that not only is this fee for an extremely worthy cause but you will receive other goodies for your 'hard earned' cash.

For your €40 you will receive your entry for the football tournie but also a HJC badge and a raffle ticket for some excellent prizes. Samples of some of last years prizes are, Sign MO photos, Cup Final Programmes, Match Programmes, Pot of Jam, a Barbie, Tights, FA Cup Final Photos and much more but most of all you will contributing to very worthy cause and get to meet fellow reds on the day and have one or twenty beers in the evening. Spot prizes will be available to best dressed female and the best dressed cross dresser!!! (Abu-jays eyes light up   )

There will be sandwichs served to those in need of sustaining and beer served to those in need of forgetting their woeful efforts on the pitch... (Farney Army knows what I mean )

Please contact myself or the handsome yet bald Abu-Jay for further details on the event... Please register yourself or your team as early as possible.....

Last year, Anne Williams; mother of Kevin Williams, Gary Byrne; Hillsborough Survivor and Sheila Coleman; Mad Scouse lady whats clever in the legal field, all attended what was an excellent day. They have said they'll attend this years event also..... we'll keep you posted...

Finally, if you cant attend on the day please contribute in any way you can and pass this post on to any fellow red or fellow sympathiser....

Deadline for team submissions is Friday 6th Feb.

Please contact abu-jay at jason.cauldwell@jacobs.com

for further details.

Mods, any chance you could make this sticky for a while. How about a team from this site taking part?

Motts good idea About a team from the forum.  Plenty of young lads about shouting about how fit they are.  So lets see if they're up for it.  If they are I have  a contact just up the road in the Wicklow hills, runs a residentail centre.  Might even enter a team from Belfast.  take it its over 18s.

Tjames your the twt I'm asking if its over 18s  if not then makes it easier for me. Silly people in Ireland want insurance for under 18s playing against adults.

When you get the ball, I want you to beat a couple of men and smash the ball into the net, just the same way you used to at Bury," said Shankly. Lindsay replied: "But Boss that wasn't me, it was Bobby Kerr." Shankly turned to Bob Paisley and said: "Christ Bob, we've signed the wrong player."
