yeah he played in  a final of a champions league and we currently don't have any other players who have done so, so it adds considerable experience to our team

Gareth Barry would be a good buy , i dont know what you think about him.
or Matt jackson (Wigan) he could hit the big time if he had the right players around him(bit old now)

You want us to buy a player from Wigan?  ???

Yes. There is an exemption to FIFA's rules where he can play in the FA Cup.

gareth barry is possibly the slowest player in the whole league though he has a decent left peg, but for me....no.
your trying to wind us up by asking us to consider matt jackson who wasn`t even good enough for everton when he played there aren`t you? ???

I think there is either a 5 or 7 day rule where an international transfer cannot play for his new club, but the FA Cup is exempted.

I'd wager that if Pellegrino is fit he'll play against Burnley.

good to hear, him and carra playing. We should have a solid defensive game. I bet even for a 33 yr old, he will be faster than hyppia.

christ sake people, he's a FREE TRANSFER ON A 6 MONTH CONTRACT!!!

way some folk reacting you'd think we had paid 15 million for him!

chances are he will be on the same money has Henchoz and we won't be out of pocket any more as if he stayed

Pellegrino was a terrific defender, no doubt about that.

A couple of years ago when Valencia got to the CL final he and Carboni were 2 of the most under rated players in Europe.

In truth, I haven't seen much of him in the last 18months, and for a while I actually thought he had retired, as I was under the mistaken belief that he was around 38! (I think Carboni was the old one).

I think its a solid signing, as Pellegrino has achieved a lot in his career, and always struck me as a Steve Bould type character, a fella that uses his wits and intelligence to keep playing to a big age.

Yeah, that's right, JBG....I remember Steve Bould, what a player and done great job for Arsenal as cover for Tony Adams and Martin Keown.
