Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Wow what can I say. Controlled the game for 80-90 percent of the game, played some good football, made chances and we ended up with nothing. Unbealivable really because we played better football than a squad that's worth 200 million pounds.

All of our players imo gave it their all and I would had been happy with a draw but we certainly didn't deserve to lose. I could understand if we were outclassed but we weren't. This is why I rather take a scrappy game with three or one point than a good performance with nothing.

Same old story, we dominate the game and come away with nothing, just like the Portsmouth (even though we got a point we should have had 3) and Bimingham games :(

We need a striker simple as that cos we were never going to threaten their defence with two midgets up front

Mourinho himself said that Chelsea was lucky. Pongolle did a good job imo, can't take anything away from him. Unexperienced player vs. best back four in the Premiership and still made it difficult for them.

Whether its Morientes or Anelka, a new striker will make an impact.

You forgotten the Villa's game a few weeks back, where we should be 5-0 up by half-time...

We outplayed Arsenal, and now Chelsea and it is all down to one man...the "Quite & Special One" Rafa Benitez.

I thought Chelsea played a masterful defensive game today and took the chance when it came. Credit to them. Gallas was absolutely top class.

We tried our best today with what we had - the main point being summed up by Tony Adams which was that we ran out of quality players that could potentially change the game in the second half. To be fair to their manager he said that a fairer result would have been a draw today.

The reason there are refs in football is to make the game fair but unfourtanetly football is everything but fair.

well to be fair m8, we have no baros or cisse to call upon, but thats gonna change by the end of the month, and then there can be no excuses when that happen, though i have to say rb is honest and doesn't make excuses about injuries, but im confident he will sign the right players rather than just buying anybody

there is a saying whereby bad ref decisions will even out thru a season...

if that is a case, we should have a sh1t load of decisions going our way in the 2nd half of this season....

What you sayin Rock? 3rd place by default, and maybe Champions if Chelski and Arsenal get whats due?! A few seasons back I'd have agreed with the statement about leveling out, but it seems certain managers can get decisions two or three games in advance using the Press and the powers of psyche. We jus couldnt get the decision off a ref in red with the crest tattooed on his back at the minute. Hope you're right tho, add some spice to the run in.

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

You just have to look at Fergie in the Blackburn game.  He was hopong mad about there only being 3minutes left , so the fourth official revised it up to 4 mins  .........low and behold  the scum score in the last dying seconds , sickening to see that  and that an official can have his arm bent  like that
