The thing is, by locking the thread, I couldn't post myself so I had to re-open it.

Woollyback, LFC1 and Bob were pressing "Add reply" like crazy and if the truth be told, it was sheer luck that I managed to actually get the 1000th page........if I had missed it after all of that then I'd never have lived it down!

Yeah, you were going strong until 10.30 or so, then bailed. Check out page 990 when I thought I had a clear run at 1000, before Honululu Bob stepped in!

Seriously, no more fiddling with page 1000 or it'll spell disaster for the RealWorld as it'll only spell a "delete post" race which would end up wiping out all posts after 1000.
