WHU vs Liverpool Sat 27th April 2024

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Complete and utter tripe.
28 shots. 8 on target. 71% possession. They had more shots on target than we did.
If we sell Kelleher we are even more brain-dead than it looks already. Their second game from a brain fart from Alisson and the defenders couldn't clear it.

Can someone explain that Areola situation? He caught the ball and hurt himself on the fall. The ref didn't give a freekick and Areola didn't go down. He rolled the ball out, then pulled his socks up and felt his leg. Without looking up Gakpo had run in for a simple tap in. Antony Taylor stops him, and makes out he's given a freekick (which he hadn't) then tells Areola to go on the floor to get treatment.

Anyone else find that suspect?

What was Mo's altercation with Jurgen all about? He looked to have a foot out of the club by now

Cue the absolute b0ll0x from the manager and players after the game.
Simple facts: Gakpo (who had a decent game) didn't bother his hole to challenge in the air for the first goal. It's simply unacceptable, period. Doesn't matter where you play, in the box you attack the ball.
Quansah, repeating his brain fart against Manure, ball watching for the second. Fookin asleep.
Ali making a cluster of catching the ball before that.
We'll get this shyte feeling sorry for ourselves. The players did this to themselves. Against Manure. Against Palace. Against Atalanta. Against West Ham.
Massive, massive clear out needed
I don't envy Slot.
Klopp is leaving the exact same way he did at BVB and it doesn't look like there is anything he can do about it, and the players need to be ashamed of themselves.

I've had enough of Salah. Thanks for the goals but his race is run. Pocket the money. Buy big and buy quality.

Started the second half so well and thought we'd go on to blow them away. However we are too easy to score against at the moment. Situations which are half dangerous are not being dealt with properly and we are paying for it.

Limping towards the end of the season and feels there's more than a couple who have their eye on the summer. Even Klopp has the look of someone just serving the last week of his notice.

Time to get to the end of the season and to start planning for life under Slot

I didn't see it at the time, but I'm told the Gakpo 'goal' that was disallowed should not have been. Ref had not blown his whistle to stop play. There was no injury. The ball did not go dead. If that's true, that is pure b0ll0x. I want to see that myself. Nothing can be done now though. But we shouldn't have to talk about it if we could get the ball on target

Annoyingly Gakpo didn't put the ball in the net. He stopped as soon as Taylor blew his whistle!! And he only blew to stop VAR getting involved if Gakpo had scored. The goal would have had to stand with nothing Taylor could do about it.

It’s so incredible what has happened to us this year with the officiating that it has become normalized. Klopp talked to the goalie at the end of the game and he couldn’t hide his smile when talking to Klopp, and Klopp didn’t look amused.

Howard Webb will go and say something ridiculous like “the referee could see the goalie in pain, so for the sake of safety to the player and the integrity of sporting ethics decided the goalie needed some attention even though he never asked for it and decided to make the common sense decision of stopping the game and awarding the ball back to the goalie so that Liverpool will not win the match” and it will sound reasonable.

That ball was technically "still in play", it was NOT a goal kick or something so that whànkér Taylor  should not have stopped the play
