Liverpool are reported to be checking out Finnish midfielder Teemu Tainio, according to the Sunday People.


Tainio, who plays his club football for Auxerre has been watched by the Liverpool scouts and could be joining the Reds when the transfer market re-opens


Does anybody know anything about this player ?

F**k me the striker list must have about 30 strikers on it now is media reports are correct :D

We were linked to this guy a while ago, don't know anything about him I'm afraid.
I'm still sceptical of players coming in from the French league. Maybe we should be looking to Holland, Spain and other Premiership clubs.

Tiano is a "Roy Keane" type player who'd tackle a crips bag if it blew across the pitch.

watched him a few times, average player, not what we need. Hamann, Alonso and Gerrard are better players and Biscan could probaly match him.

I saw him play against Arsenal two years ago (I think he may have been suspended for the games against us) and he looked a handy player. He reminded me a tiny bit of Denis Wise. I don't really see the point as we are over loaded with midfield runners and tacklers at the moment.
