Disagree Dom1. The fact that he's using the persons ethnic origin as part of the insult is racist. I hate it. Its unacceptable. I dont know whether he means to be racist or not but using a persons ethnic origin to insult them is racist.

Yes he is insulting tall people. He's using the fact the persons tall as an insult, as a way to put him down, therefore he's insulting other tall people.

The difference is people haven't been persecuted through the centuries for being tall whereas they have for being black and for many other things.

Point is, he's using the guys tallness to insult him. Hes not complimenting by saying he's tall. He's not saying 'Your so tall, thats brilliant!', he's using it to insult him. He's saying your a ****** because your tall therefore abusing tall people.

In fairness to Stu, I think he believes he's not being racist. Please Don't get me wrong here, I'm not justifying what he said because it was terrible. I'm simply making the point that I believe from reading a number of his posts that Stu is just daft sometimes, not racist.
It's a shame really, because when he sticks to the football I find his views insightful and coherent. That's not to say I agree with him very often but he obviously has a knowledge of the game which I respect. This 'not a scouser so not a real supporter' thing does get a little tiresome though and I believe that if only people who lived in Liverpool went to the games, it would be a sight more than 15 years until we won our next title.
Just as an aside, wouldn't the world be a better place if people just apologised when someone points out an offensive comment within a post. While the aggresive stuff is entertaining, the whole point of the thread can get lost amidst all the posturing.

Fair enough stu, don't apologise mate. It matters not a sh ite to me. In future though, stick to the football. You know your stuff and are more than capable of fighting your corner without resorting to insults, racist or otherwise. Remember, we are all allowed to disagree. Just 'cos someone doesn't see it my way it doesn't mean he's definately an idiot. Usually does though
